LaneLight installations in Virginia are growing in number, thanks of our representative - Mike Settlemyre of RGA, Inc. - who handled our installation projects in Virginia at the following locations: Manassas, Norfolk, Fairfax, James Madison University at Harrisonburg, and University of Virginia at Charlottesville.
Over the last several years, James Madison University has increased campus safety with the installation of five LaneLight crosswalk systems. The university uses X-Flo Pedestrian pads with the crosswalk systems. X-Flo pedestrian detection pads use inductive technology; when a pedestrian steps on the pad, the system activates. X-Flo pad's tactile mats are ADA compliant, come in yellow (standard) or black with custom graphics if requested.
The University of Virginia at Charlottesville added six new LaneLight crosswalk systems to their campus last year. The LaneLight systems provide the university with easy to maintain, high visibility crosswalks. Because of the in-road design, the LED markers handle snow plows without problem.
